I’ve been promising a tutorial for the website for some time now. Due to an increasing workload and show schedule, it obviously hasn’t surfaced. After talking to numerous people on the road this year at the cons, I’ve decided to move the tutorial in a different direction.

A good portion of tutorials I’ve seen are portrayed as “Step by Step”, which only shows the painting as it progresses from day to day. Most aspiring artists I’ve talked to are more interested in my technique as it applies to acrylics, and I plan on focusing on that. I use a layering technique that although time-consuming, allows me to achieve that smooth blend in my paints that is so commonly mistaken for airbrush. I’ve also decided that I would never be able to pull this off by uploading 2 dimensional images and text on a website.

So I’ve decided to produce a full-length DVD that will follow this process in great detail.

I don’t expect any artist to be able to paint like me...want to paint like me... or that my technique is any better than another. But any information, tips, etc. gained by watching any tutorial is a bonus when trying to better yourself as an artist. I hope to portray this as simply and as detailed as possible and a DVD is the only way I feel that it can be done.

I have no tentative release date as of this writing, but I will be posting it in my “NEWS” section and on this page as soon as I have more information available.
