| I’ve
always welcomed
the opportunity to try new things, and I’d like to think that I’ve
accomplished and excelled at most things put in front of me. Art, sports,
a sense of humor...most anything. Well, except Math. The reason I’m
not an architect or engineer today was because of my relationship with
arithmetic. Like an old girlfriend...it just wasn’t meant to be.
It’s not like I’m an idiot when it comes to numbers, I do know
my “Go-zinta’s”. A six-pack of beer is half of a twelve
pack, and 36-24-36 adds up to a lot more than 96. I’ve always wanted
to try my hand at writing, but novels and short stories didn’t interest
me, and I had too much of a testosterone fueled alpha male complex to think
that poetry had any place in my universe. Back in the eighties, a good
friend of mine co-starred in a movie called: “Vice Academy 3”.
(...And the Oscar goes to ). After watching her in this film for the fourth
or ninth time on USA’s “Up All Night” Rhonda Shear T&A
fest, I thought to myself... “Who writes this SHIT!”
A couple years ago I decided to take the summer off from the conventions to concentrate on new paintings and other projects I had in the works. It was that same summer I decided to try my hand at writing a screenplay. Six months later I finished work on a black comedy / murder mystery based on the images from my “Blonde and Gagged” series. The film starts out as your standard serial killer baffles police whodunit, but quickly evolves into at what lengths artists will go to to achieve fame. With a lot of my sense of humor injected into it. In the weeks to come I will be posting the film’s synopsis and cast of characters descriptions. When the entire work is transferred you will be able to download excerpts in an Adobe Acrobat .pdf format and read it for yourself. Without the ending of course. I’m not holding my breath as to whether any of this ever comes to fruition. It’s the satisfaction I’ve gained by knowing that I can create something without the benefits of Algebra and Geometry. But if you happen to own a production company that’s looking for something different. HEY BABE...e-mail me, we’ll talk. |
